Senior Homecare You Can Trust

Special Needs

Special Needs Services | 24-Hour Care

Special Needs Services is a 24/7/365 day service, generally used by clients who might be at risk if left unattended for any period of time.

24-Hour Care – There are two types of 24-Hour Care:

A) Hourly, for 24 hours a day if the client is a wandering risk or needs assistance through the night.  This would be accomplished with 2-12 hour shifts.  /OR?

B) Live In Care – You must have an extra bedroom, Wi-Fi and TV in the home.   You are responsible for the Aide’s food.  The Live In Aide will live with your loved one and when they want a break, we will fill the case with a Fill In Aide.  This gives your loved one a friend, and is the safest type of care during the pandemic as there are less people in the home.  It also is easier for the Aide to pick up on subtle changes in your loved one and we can stay ahead of illness.

Overnight Care – Can be a big help if you are taking care of your loved one and they now are awake through the night.  We can provide a 12 hour shift for the overnight so you can get some sleep.  This service is sometimes combined with Live In Care if your loved one is very sick or on hospice or their sleeping pattern shifts until we can get it back on track.

Temporary Care for Short-term needs:  Are you having surgery?  Do you need assistance for out-patient and pre and post-op care?  Will you need supportive assistance for 30 days after surgery?  Will you need help to transition into a new living environment?  This short term care can be arranged for a FEW hours a day to 24/7 service for several weeks.

Hospital and Rehabilitation Companion Services:  Sometimes a family member can not be always available to a loved one in the hospital or rehabilitation center.  A Caregiver can serve as a hospital advocate and provide basic information to the family, if desired. (If available, during the pandemic.  This depends on the individual facility)

Alzheimer’s and other Dementia Care: We specialize in dementia care.  There are many times when clients with any form of dementia may need supportive care and reassurance.  We can help because of our experience level with all forms of dementia.

Hospital Discharge After Care:  We can provide care at home or in a rehabilitation center – (If available, during the pandemic.  This depends on the individual facility) during this important 30-day period following dischange from a hospital.
